Refunds and Returns

At Calypso Instruments Australia (Calypso Instruments AU), we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This Refunds and Returns Policy outlines when and how you may return a product, request a refund, or exchange an item.
1. Change of Mind Returns

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect choice, or if you no longer require the product.

Please choose carefully before finalising your purchase.
2. Faulty or Defective Products
We take great care to ensure all products are of the highest quality. If you believe your product is faulty or defective:

Contact us at info@calypsoinstruments.com.au within 7 days of receiving the item.

Provide your order number, proof of purchase, and a description (including photos or videos) of the fault.

Once assessed, if the product is deemed faulty, we will provide:

a repair,

a replacement, or
-
a refund (at our discretion, in line with Australian Consumer Law).

3. Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and product.

We will liaise with our courier partner to resolve the issue. Depending on the assessment, you may be eligible for a replacement or refund.
4. Incorrect Items

If you receive the wrong item, please contact us immediately.

We will arrange for the correct product to be sent to you at no additional cost, and provide instructions for returning the incorrect item.
5. Return Process

All returns must first be approved by our team — please do not send items back without contacting us.

Once approved, you will receive instructions on how to return your item.

Items must be returned in their original packaging, unused, and in resaleable condition (unless faulty).
6. Shipping Costs

For faulty, damaged, or incorrect products: return shipping costs will be covered by us.

For returns not covered by consumer guarantees: you are responsible for return shipping costs.
7. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed back to your original payment method.

Please allow up to 10 business days for refunds to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.
8. Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in this Refunds and Returns Policy is intended to exclude or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and for compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
